Dr Jason Chan M.B.B.S., BSc
Dr Chan graduated in 1994 in Medicine at the University of Melbourne.
He has a background in general practice and has been a surgical assistant for more than 28 years, specialising in orthopaedics and general surgery.
During that time, he has assisted in over 8,000 joint replacements.
Dr Chan is the chief medical officer for the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club, a role which he has held for the past 9 years.
Dr Chan looks forward to ensuring that your surgical experience is both a safe and enjoyable one.
He is a member of MSASA (Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia), AMA (Australian Medical Association), RACSGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners), and SMA (Sports Medicine Australia).
Dr Aisha Ryan M.B.B.S., BSc
Dr Ryan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 has been a surgical assistant for 14 years.
She has a background of sports medicine and has extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery. She enjoys being a part of the surgical team to ensure the optimal outcome for patients.
In her spare time Dr Ryan enjoys the outdoors camping and watching her beloved Crows and Green Bay Packers.
Dr Ryan is a member of MSASA (Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia), AASPA (American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants) and PAOS (Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery).
Dr Rebecca Young M.B.B.S., PGDipSportMed
Dr Rebecca Young is a professional surgical assistant. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 and spent time training primarily in orthopaedic surgery, emergency medicine and trauma surgery, and sports medicine.
In 2009 she commenced part-time surgical assisting to compliment her sports medicine practice. As of 2017 Dr Young practices exclusively as a surgical assistant working primarily in orthopaedics. She works with a number of surgeons in the areas of shoulder, upper limb, hip, knee, trauma, and bone & soft tissue tumours. She loves working in the surgical environment, as part of a team, and looks forward to contributing to your care.
Dr Young is a member of MSASA (Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia).

Dr Vyt Antanaitis M.B.B.S., MBA
Dr Vyt Antanaitis is a full time Medical Surgical Assistant in private practice in Melbourne.
Dr Antanaitis graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Melbourne in 1996.
He spent several years working across a broad range of medical specialities in the public hospital system around Victoria. He began private surgical assisting in 1999 and has since been involved in over 30,000 surgeries from various surgical subspecialties including, orthopaedic, general, neurosurgical, gynaecological and vascular.
Dr Antanaitis has had a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery for over 20 years and as such, most of his current assisting practice reflects this. He enjoys being closely involved in the new and emerging technologies and techniques being made available to today’s orthopaedic patients, particularly in the private medical setting.
Dr Antanaitis is a member of MSASA (Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia) and the AOA (Australian Orthopaedic Association).

Dr John Harrison is a full-time surgical assistant working at many private hospitals across metropolitan Melbourne.
He has been assisting surgeons in private hospitals for over a quarter of a century.
Dr Harrison completed his medical degree at St Vincent's Hospital, University of Melbourne and post-graduate studies in biomedical engineering in the field of orthopaedic surgery at Prince of Wales Hospital, University of New South Wales.
While Dr Harrison has experience assisting a range of surgical specialties, including neurosurgery, urology, plastic and general surgery, his particular area of expertise is orthopaedic surgery; for over a decade he worked in the orthopaedic industry in Australia and internationally specialising on the digital technologies used by surgeons to facilitate accurate use of surgical implants.
Dr Harrison is the Victorian representative for the Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia (MSASA).

Dr Pandelis Dimitriou is a full time Surgical Assistant, and has worked as such since 2013.
Dr Dimitriou graduated from Monash University in 2003, has a Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne (2010), and was an anatomy demonstrator & tutor at Monash University in 2011.
During his post-graduate years, he also worked in various public hospitals as a surgical resident / registrar, which included Orthopaedic Registrar at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, and Northwest Regional Hospital in Tasmania.
As a Surgical Assistant, Dr Dimitriou has worked in various areas of surgery, but does most of his work in Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology & Plastics, is Robot accredited, and is accredited at most Private Hospitals in Victoria.

Dr Navid Nazarian M.B.B.S., FRACGP
Dr Nazarian is an Orthopaedic surgical assistant since 2014. He is also a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr Nazarian Graduated in 1998 and has worked in different disciplines of Medicine since graduation until 2009.Dr Nazarian has worked as an Orthopaedic Registrar from 2009 until 2014 across multiple health systems including Geelong Hospital, The Alfred Hospital and Southern, Northern and Western Health. During that time, he has been involved in the management of orthopaedic presentations and had wide exposure to different orthopaedic procedures across all subspecialties. Since 2017, Dr Nazarian has been working as a general practitioner with interest in musculoskeletal problems to be able to stay up to date with the diagnosis and management of orthopaedic presentations in general practice. Dr Nazarian is a member of MSASA (Medical Surgical Assistants Society of Australia) and RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners).

Dr Paul Nguyen M.B.B.S.
Dr Paul Nguyen graduated from Monash University in 2002, and spent time doing surgical training.
He now works as a professional surgical assistant and has over 15 years of experience, specialising in orthopaedics, neurosurgery and general surgery.
He is a keen long distance runner and has participated in European races.

Dr Jaya Vikraman M.B.B.s., GDipSurgAnat, GDipChldHlth
Dr Jaya Vikraman is a full-time surgical assistant. She commenced part-time surgical assisting in 2010 while pursuing the surgical training program and further studies. Dr Vikraman graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2008. She holds a Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne (2012) and a Graduate Diploma of Child Health from the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (2014). Dr Vikraman also has a PhD in Surgery from the University of Melbourne (2023). Dr Vikraman assists with a variety of specialties, including orthopaedic, neurosurgery, general, gynaecology and plastic surgery. Dr Vikraman has a keen interest in research and has authored for The Conversation as well as RACSGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) learning modules. Dr Vikraman looks forward to meeting you, and ensuring that your surgical experience is both safe and enjoyable.
